Take control of your life with the OneNote Teal Planner

What is Teal Digital Planner ?

The Teal Digital Planner is not a physical notebook or printable PDF, instead, it's a downloadable file created specifically for Microsoft OneNote. It's compatible with both versions OneNote Windows 10 and OneNote (formerly called 2016) available in Microsoft Office 2019, 2021, and Office 365 for Windows users, and native OneNote versions for Mac and Android users. The Teal planner is exclusively designed to be used with Microsoft OneNote.

The key distinction of the Teal Digital Planner from other Digital PDF-based Planners is that it is not limited to a single mobile device. Instead, the Teal Digital Planner is stored in the cloud of your Microsoft account, providing flexibility and accessibility across multiple devices whether on Windows, Android, or iOS.

Automatic Sync and Share Your Planner Notes

Since Microsoft OneNote is a cloud-based application, uploading the Teal Planner to Microsoft OneDrive makes it accessible on all your devices, including desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. Any changes made to a planner page on one device automatically sync and update across all devices, as they are synced back to the cloud, and update all versions of the  Planner OneNoteBook.

By sharing Planner notebooks,  you can easily view, edit, sync, and share your notes and even work together with family members, colleagues, or classmates in real-time, or just keep everyone in sync and up to date.

Cross-Platform: Windows, Android, iOS

The Teal Digital Planner offers exceptional multi-device accessibility and cross-platform compatibility, setting it apart from PDF-based planners. Stored on your Microsoft OneDrive account, it seamlessly synchronizes across various devices, including Windows, Android, and iOS platforms. You can effortlessly access and manage your Teal Planner from a desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone, or any mobile device, where you can install the Microsoft OneNote App.

The planner's versatility is enhanced by Microsoft OneNote's wide availability on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android platforms, including new digital ink e-paper devices running on Android 11 (examples include Galaxy Tab, Google Pixel, BOOX Note Air, or Tab Ultra).

Native OneNote Organization & Page Hierarchy

OneNote features an intuitive and simple interface that resembles a traditional paper notebook complete with sections and pages. The Teal Planner remains aligned with OneNote's inherent hierarchical structure: Notebook-Sections-Subsections-Pages. This structural foundation of the Teal Planner starts with daily dated pages organized into collapsible Weeks, which, in turn, are grouped into 12 Months within the main Planner section. This sets it apart from a printed PDF calendar template in OneNote, which lacks the structured organization of sections, subsections, and pages.

The Teal Digital Planner enables structural flexibility and customization, courtesy of the OneNote platform. Users can effortlessly rearrange, add, copy, or remove pages within the planner, setting it apart from a conventional PDF-based planner with a static layout.

Leveraging  Microsoft OneNote Functionality

The Teal Digital Planner was specifically created for OneNote to leverage the powerful functionality and key features provided by Microsoft OneNote. OneNote gives you the ideal place to store and share your information in a single, easy-to-access location. You can capture text, and images, as well as video and audio notes. Your notes are saved and searchable wherever you go — on nearly any mobile device, tablet, or browser.

 Key Features of OneNote include:

  • Handwriting with a stylus or Typing notes on the keyboard of  your PC/Mac

  • Dictation and Voice recording with a transcript in multiple languages

  • Utilizing Searchable Tags and colored Text Highlights

  • Drawing and Sketching using a variety of pencils and brushes

  • Internal Hyperlinks for enhanced navigation; External Hyperlinks to capture videos, articles, and other info resources

  • Attaching Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and Visio diagrams

  • Organizing notes into Tables, incorporating pictures, stickers, and tags

  • Robust Search Functionality including recognition of handwritten text and PDF printouts.

Dated Daily, Weekly, & Monthly Pages

There are many colorful and sticker-driven PDF-based digital planners out there, but Teal Planner focuses on a minimalist design to provide a simple, non-destructive start to the day. The Teal Planner features a simple, minimalistic yet elegant design, mostly using shades of grey with some teal-turquoise color accents. The planner offers a straightforward dated calendar design with a two-page view for daily, weekly, and monthly template pages, providing essential functionalities such as time scheduling, focus blocks, a mini calendar, and a to-do list.

All editions of the Teal Digital Planner share a consistent design, structure, and functionality, available in either vertical or horizontal layouts. In the vertical layout, the first daily page is followed by the second daily page, accessible through scrolling, while the horizontal layout displays two pages side by side.

Our Premium Teal Planner series includes internal hyperlinks to enhance the user's navigation experience. These hyperlinks provide quick access to the main sections of the planner, including the current week, current month, year overview, tasks, meetings, and projects.

Flexibility & Customization, Prioritizing OneNote

The Teal Planner provides a perfect balance between the suggested structure and freestyle pages. For example, the second daily dated page has no specific structure; it is a multipurpose page that could be used for a morning journal, affirmations, notes of the day, meeting notes, or additional space to expand the to-do list. The planner's pages allow you to focus on your thoughts and ideas rather than superfluous design elements and often inconvenient structures.

Instead, the Teal Planner prioritizes functionality by leveraging the powerful Microsoft OneNote app. It allows you to further customize the pages with built-in OneNote tools, where you can either type or handwrite your notes, draw color-shaded time blocks, insert searchable tags and images, or organize notes in tables or attached documents. Importantly, all your notes are searchable, regardless of whether they are typed or handwritten, thanks to OneNote's handwriting text recognition.  The structure of the planner is also flexible and customizable. You can easily rearrange, add, or remove pages within the planner.

Integration with Microsoft: Workflow & Productivity

The Teal Planner seamlessly integrates with other Microsoft software, enhancing users' workflow and productivity. Additionally, it integrates specifically with Microsoft Outlook, providing a unified platform for calendar and task management. This integration streamlines users' planning and organization, offering a comprehensive suite of tools.

OneNote is integrated with the Microsoft Suite and Outlook Meeting & Calendar, allowing users to easily incorporate important email messages and meeting invitations from Outlook into their notes using the Send to OneNote feature.

Key Features of OneNote Integration with Outlook include:

  • The Send to OneNote Add-in lets you transfer email messages and meeting invitations from Outlook to OneNote.

  • Outlook Calendar To-Do-List tools: The Outlook task manager, along with the Calendar To-Do-List tools, allows you to track your tasks.

  • Insert meetings from Outlook into OneNote. Store and organize incoming email messages
